Take your career to the next level as the next Human Resources Manager (central HR) for Contra Costa County, California.

The Human Resources Director is looking for an innovative and independent thinker to guide efforts to incorporate new technology, streamline the activities of the Department, and foster an environment of transformation to improve outcomes and bring about progressive change. As the team leader, you will bring a comprehensive understanding of best practices in HR from across the spectrum of services, partner with subject matter experts and hiring managers to develop solutions to operational problems, and foster continuous improvement for the benefit of the entire County organization. The HR Manager will be expected to develop a team culture that encourages open dialogue, active listening, and sharing of ideas. Specific experience in classification, compensation, recruitment, and selection is particularly valuable in this role. As a leader in the Department, the HR Manager will make equity, diversity, and inclusion a priority in the hiring, training, and long-term development of the Department’s staff and policies. Public sector HR experience is highly desirable.
