The Talent Acquisition Manager will report to the Executive Director/VP, Organizational Development and Administration. The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for managing and developing recruitment staff, creating, and implementing staffing models, designing effective source strategies, strategic collaboration with departments and forecasting future talent needs. A key focus of this position will be to develop and manage key relationships with departments, understanding departments’ business requirements, collaborating with those internal customers to execute human capital strategies in line with agency objectives as well as educating and informing agency leadership on matters pertaining to recruitment, hiring, and retention. Recruiting and retaining highly competent, qualified and high-performance personnel who display strong customer-centric skill; skills aligned with the agency’s zero-emission bus fleet transition plan; is a key initiative. Additional key objectives and goals for the Talent Acquisition Manager include:
• Designing recruitment, hiring, and retention plans including a comprehensive diversity, equity, and inclusion strategy
• Establishing a streamlined recruiting process and developing standard operating procedures for recruitment
• Developing a strategic approach to talent development to meet the needs of LBT’s future
Human Resources certifications are a plus (e.g., PHR, SPHR). THE COMPENSATION Long Beach Transit (LBT) offers a competitive salary range of $118,958 – $136,675, depending on experience plus executive level benefits: Medical Insurance: LBT offers medical insurance, dental and vision with contributions of 90% for employee and 85% for dependents premiums. Deferred Compensation: LBT offers two plans for employee contributions: 401 (a) and 457(b). LBT will contribute 5% to 401 (a) and up to an additional 5% match based on employee contribution to 457(b) plan. Vacation: Accrual rate depending on years of service; maximum accrual rate is 240 hours per year. Maximum accumulation is no more than the vacation hours earned in the previous year. Holiday: LBT offers seven paid holidays and an additional 40 hours of floating holidays. Sick Leave: Sick leave is accrued at rate of eight hours per month. There is no cap on sick leave accumulation. A Sick Leave Buy-Back program is offered. Other Insurance Benefits: LBT provides, at no cost to the employee, a group life insurance policy in the amount of two and one-half times their annual salary up to a limit of $400,000. Voluntary long-term disability and voluntary life and AD&D insurance coverage for employee, spouse and children are also available. Tuition Reimbursement: LBT may reimburse the cost of tuition, course fees or the cost of books for courses taken at a recognized educational institution up to $3,200 per year. Auto Allowance: $200 per month.
