Novant Health seeks a progressive, proactive talent acquisition leader to serve as the health system’s Vice President of Talent Acquisition (VP, Talent Acquisition). This is an exciting opportunity to spearhead the development of innovative and transformational recruitment and retention processes, aimed at attracting top talent to one of the country’s leading integrated health systems that serves a multi-state service area. Novant is one of the largest and most innovative nonprofit health systems in the country, spanning across North Carolina and South Carolina. This $7.5 billion integrated system comprises over 15 hospitals and a multispecialty medical group consisting of approximately 1,900 physicians across over 800 clinic locations.

The VP, Talent Acquisition reports to the Chief People & Belonging Officer, Carmen Canales. They are responsible for developing talent acquisition and workforce strategies to attract top talent and build diverse talent pipelines. The VP will modernize and improve Novant’s talent acquisition function, stay updated on market trends, and focus on recruitment strategies that meet long term organizational needs. They will provide high quality service to customers and collaborate with system and market leaders on developing recruitment strategies to support Novant’s organizational strategy and growth.

As a key member of the Human Resources leadership team, the VP, Talent Acquisition will support continuous process improvement and leverage best practices, tools, technology, and vendors to drive quality hiring decisions. This position will implement creative solutions and build strong pipelines to fill critical roles in a timely and cost-effective manner. This position will take a data driven approach to workforce planning and share data and metrics to track goals and progress with leaders. In addition, the VP, Talent Acquisition will actively explore innovative strategies to optimize workforce utilization through alternative care models, and will implement global sourcing strategies, tapping into diverse talent pools from around the world, to attract top talent and foster a dynamic and inclusive workforce.

The successful candidate will have 6-8 years of progressive talent acquisition leadership experience, preferably in a multi-entity healthcare organization. Candidates should have experience working in complex, highly matrixed environments with a proven track record of success bringing innovation, customer service, and creativity to strategic talent acquisition initiatives. The successful candidate will be viewed as a collaborative, innovative leader.
